Latino Art Promo

Art, as a means of expression, is at the center of cultural participation in community life. In a country as complex and diverse as this one, preserving the artistic heritage and history of a people is not an easy endeavor. Much of the responsibility for keeping this cultural heritage alive falls under the leadership of the artists, curators, organizations and stakeholders.
The start of Hispanic Heritage Month is a perfect opportunity to examine the definition of “Latino” Art, the importance of highlighting artists of Latino descent, the work that different organizations are doing in this area as well as art’s role in mobilizing communities into social action. Join this important conversation on Tuesday, September 9th at 7 pm ET.
